From Tuesday, 24 November 2026 to Tuesday, 29 December 2026

Six markets in the historic centre: Place des Dominicains, Place de l’Ancienne Douane, the Koïfhus indoors over two floors, Petite Venise with its family attractions, Place Jeanne d’Arc, and the food market on the cathedral square, open until 10 pm.

Spending Christmas in Alsace

When are the Christmas markets in Alsace in 2026?

The first open on 20 November 2026 in Haguenau, Mulhouse and Munster, and the last closes on 31 December in Obernai. Colmar runs from 24 November to 29 December, Turckheim from 27 November to 30 December. The City of Strasbourg had not yet published the dates of its Christkindelsmärik when this page was last updated.

Where to stay for the Colmar Christmas market?

We do not let in Colmar itself, but in Turckheim, the first rail stop after Colmar on the Colmar to Metzeral line: about ten minutes by regional train, some fifteen services each way per day, and a fortified town that holds its own Christmas market. Rouffach, fifteen kilometres south, is on the Strasbourg to Basel line with Colmar about eight minutes away.

Do you need to book far ahead for Christmas in Alsace?

December weekends are the most sought-after nights of the year in the vineyards and in Colmar. Our availability comes straight from our management system: what you see free really is free, and the booking is confirmed immediately.

How much does an apartment cost during the Christmas markets?

Our rates vary by apartment, town and length of stay. The price shown is the price you pay: no platform commission is added, and the local tourist tax is calculated and included in the total before payment.

Can you come by train for the Christmas markets?

Yes, and in December it is often easier than driving, when town-centre parking is saturated. Turckheim, Rouffach, Haguenau, Mulhouse, Schiltigheim and Strasbourg all have rail or tram services, and our apartments have self check-in, with no fixed time to collect keys.

What time can you get into the apartment?

Check-in is self service from 4 pm, with instructions sent before the stay: you can arrive after an evening at the market with nobody waiting for you. Check-out is at 11 am, unless a late check-out has been booked.
